This is the species with the quickest establishment, in optimal conditions 4-5 days are sufficient to germinate. It tolerates trampling and low cutting very well and is normally used for the regeneration of existing turf and the creation of sports fields, often associated with Poa Pratense, and ornamental gardens. It requires frequent watering, especially during the summer period.
