Ideal species for golf course greens, tees and fairways, stoloniferous plant with creeping habit, requires very low cuts, below 2 cm. up to a few millimetres. Thanks to the formation of numerous stolons, it forms an exceptionally dense turf that is soft to the touch. For correct establishment and maintenance it requires adequate fertilization and irrigation. The commercialized varieties were selected as the best in the American NTEP trials, in terms of resistance to diseases (rhizectomy etc.), aesthetic appearance and resistance to stress.
